ONBOARD INVESTMENTS IN THE FIELD OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY, SAFETY AND SELECTIVITY, INVESTMENTS IN PRODUCTIVE AND ORGANIZATIONAL INNOVATION OF FISHING COMPANIES AND COLLECTIVE ACTIONS - AUTONOMOUS REGION OF MADEIRA
The Program aims for Onboard Investments in the Field of Energy Efficiency, Safety and Selectivity, Investments in Productive and Organizational Innovation of Fishing Companies and Collective Actions - Autonomous Region of Madeira.
Scope:
Promote increased competitiveness and viability of fishing companies, through investments in fishing vessels, aimed at improving hygiene, health, safety and working conditions of fishermen, promoting the valorization and quality of fishing products fishing, to promote processes of digitalization of the activity and the improvement of energy efficiency, to mitigate the effects of climate change and to reduce the impact of fishing on the marine environment.
Actions Covered:
The actions provided for in article 16 of Ordinance no. 559/2023, of July 25, are covered by this notice:
a) Investments on board fishing vessels or in individual equipment;
b) Investments on board or in equipment aligned with digitalization processes;
c) Investments in energy efficiency;
d) Investments in the replacement or modernization of main or auxiliary propulsion engines;
e) Other investments that provide productive or organizational innovation, at company level;
f) Collective actions that make it possible to reach a greater number of recipients and achieve collective objectives that would not be achieved with individual support.
Beneficiaries:
Pursuant to paragraph a) of article 18 of Ordinance no. 559/2023, of 25 July, owners or shipowners of fishing vessels registered in the national fleet, whose activity falls within the scope of this notice, may benefit from the support provided for in this notice. in the economic activity code: Class 0311, subclass 03111, Sea fishing:
In the collective actions referred to in paragraph i) of article 16 of Ordinance no. 559/2023, of July 25, the following entities may benefit from the support provided for in this notice:
i. Associations, cooperatives and producer organizations in the sector;
ii. Public entities, from direct or indirect central administration, with duties and responsibilities in the administration of the fishing sector;
iii. Other collective, public or private, non-profit organizations that carry out interventions in areas relevant to the sector, namely for scientific, environmental protection or professional training purposes that act with the active support of fishing professionals themselves or their associations ;
iv. Local authorities, as long as they act with the active support of fishing professionals or their associations.
